Thanksgiving

The holidays are here and boy did they sneak up. Feels like just yesterday we were planning for barbecues and fun in the sun. Now it’s cold weather, hot drinks and lots of food and fun. Thanksgiving is a few weeks away and is one of my favorite holidays for many reasons, I get to see my family, eat yummy food and make delicious drinks!

Thanksgiving and fall remind me of sugar and spice and everything nice. There are so many liquors out on the market that have the prefect ingredients to help you make your own personal craft cocktail creation. Whether it’s cinnamon whiskey, spicy rumchata or good old fashioned baileys, there is something for everyone.

One of my favorite seasonal drinks takes after a popular kids cereal… the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The great thing about this drink is it could be made as a shot or as a martini.
-Start with a chilled martini glass
-Rim with Cinnamon
-Fill a shaker can half way with ice
-2 ounces Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
-2 ounces Rumchata Liquor
-Shake for 10 seconds to get drink cold and to mix
-Pour and strain into glass

Another great holiday drink if you want something warm is a spiked cinnamon cider.
-Warm Apple Cider (your choice of brand) on the stove or if you want to keep it warm for a party, place it in a crockpot on low
-Add cinnamon sticks into the pot and let them infuse into the apple cider
-Add Fireball Whiskey (1 ounce per drink)
-Pour into a mug and serve

There are so many different recipes and drinks out there for the holidays which is so fun. The possibilities are endless and you can become a true mixologist through flavors, recipes, and a little imagination. Enjoy this Thanksgiving and have a happy holiday and as alway please drink responsibly.
Cheers,
Danielle
